At Urban Goddess we believe that health and fitness should be a part of everyone’s life, and that it should be enjoyed.

Urban Goddess is about helping you achieve your ideal body image in a fun and effective way with a realistic approach.
 
Your First Session
On your first session we will complete a medical health questionnaire and look at your exercise history to determine what problem areas we need to be aware of.  Your strength and weaknesses will also be addressed.
We will then take you through the Urban Goddess PT manual and discuss what your needs are, and what you would like to achieve from your exercise program.  Your goals, a realistic nutritional eating plan, and how to make changes in your diet, will also be discussed. For example, healthy eating tips, eating out advice, recipes and the 5 simple eating guidelines.

To complete your first session we conduct a practical health & fitness assessment by gathering information such as your height, weight, measurements, and body fat percentage. A cardiovascular, strength & flexibility test is also performed. This assessment will enable us to design a program specifically for you, and help us measure your individual progress.
 
Training Facilities & Equipment
We will bring whatever is needed to give you a great workout. Stability balls, stretch bands, weights and boxing gear.

We can also advise you on how to set up a home gym to enhance your training program without breaking the budget.

Week 1 – Health & Fitness Assessment
Week 2 /Week 8 - 1 hour group training sessions “Circuit Style & Boxercise”
Week 8 – Final Personal Assessment prior to training session – 10 minutes

Things to Know
• Designated Area for Sessions to be agreed upon
• Times for training sessions
• All equipment supplied including mats, weights, boxing gear
• Clients to wear loose comfortable clothing
• Client to bring his or her own water
• Minimum size of group 10 (max 15)
• Payment for program to be paid week 1 to ensure commitment from participants
• Participants must be ready for some fun and a change of lifestyle

Melisa has an extensive exercise and outdoor sporting background, utilising her skills to develop well-balanced programs suitable to one on one and group exercise training. She prides herself on being an energetic, fun and motivated person that has the desire to help you achieve your goals.

Melisa knows the benefits and rewards health and fitness can bring. Being a fan of the outdoors, she enjoys exploring those challenges - participating in bushwalking, ocean swimming and hiking in the Snowy Mountains. Melisa is a strong believer that health and fitness should be a part of everyone’s life, and that it should be enjoyed. As your personal trainer, her goal is to educate women on the benefits of health and fitness and to make exercise enjoyable. Melisa feels individuals should exercise because they want to, and because they enjoy it, not because they feel they have to. Melisa has mature leadership skills and will help break old habits and create positive new ones, keeping you motivated with goal setting, dietary analysis and various challenges. Melisa will listen to you and your needs, and will devise the best program for you to reach your goals fast!

Melisa not only wants you to enjoy life, but she wants you to have a better quality life.

Melisa is also the editor and publisher of “Shine Magazine” a Free seasonal magazine for the Sutherland Shire on Health and Healing.
 
Jess Thomas

Jess has always been sports-mad; participating in oz tag, netball and outdoor adventure at every opportunity. Becoming a personal trainer has been Jess's dream since high school - she knew that she wanted to help others discover the enjoyment that sport and exercise can bring.

Jess understands how important physical activity is in maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and that different people have a variety of different reasons for participating in regular exercise. As your personal trainer, Jess guarantees that she will listen to your wants and needs, and together you can set and achieve the goals that are important to you. She will support, motivate and encourage you in every aspect of your programme, endeavoring to make your exercise experience positive and tailored to your individual goals.

Together, we will achieve the results you have always wanted. Improvement in general health and fitness, tone your body (including nutritional advice), better muscular strength and endurance, to engage in sports specific training, or simply to have more FUN in an exercise environment!
